The draws for the 2016 Australian Open have just been released.

Retiring Australian great Lleyton Hewitt will play fellow Australian James Duckworth in the first round of the Australian open. The winner of that match will most face David Ferrer in the second round.

Aussie 16th seed Bernard Tomic will face Denis Istomin, while a potential fourth round clash with Andy Murray awaits.

Australian 29th seed Nick Kygrios will face Pablo Carreno Busta.

Roger Federer has been drawn against Georgia's Nikoloz Bashilashvili.

200 winner Rafael Nadal has a horror first round, coming up against fellow Spaniard Fernando Verdasco.

Four time finalist Andy Murray will play Alexandr Zverev.

There are plenty of huge first round matches as well, with Vask Pospisil facing Giles Simon, Jo-Wilfred Tsonga facing Marcos Baghdatis and Philip Kohlschreiber up against Kei Nishikori, which all promise to be brilliant matches.

Samantha Stosur will play a qualifier in the first round, while fellow Aussie and world No.36 Daria Gavrilova will face Czech veteran Lucie Hradecka.

No.1 seed on the women's side, Serena Williams will face Italian Camila Giorgi in the opening round.
