Angelique Kerber has won her way through to the quarterfinals with a 6-4, 6-0 win over fellow German Annika Beck.

Beck pushed the seventh seed all the way in the first, with Kerber unable to break serve until late in the set, to snatch it 6-4.

Beck, 21, struggled to maintain the tempo in the second, easily cast aside by Kerber in just 28 minutes, to claim the match in just under an hour and a half.

Kerber will now face the winner of Victoria Azarenka and Barbora Strycova.
