Nick Kyrgios has reached a career high ranking of No.13 in the world, despite his eight-week ATP ban.

Kyrgios' ranking has risen following his third career title at the Japan Open a fortnight ago.

The 21-year-old is now just three spots off the top-10 and close to becoming the first Australian to reach the top-10 in the world since Lleyton Hewitt in 2006.

Kygrios' suspension could be reduced to just three weeks if he agrees to see a sports physiologist, however, that appears unlikely, following a Q and A session with fans on Twitter, when he told one fan, he would "probs not" attend sessions with a psychologist.
