Roberta Vinci has broken her two year title drought with a straight sets win over Belinda Bencic to claim the inaugural St. Petersburg Ladies Trophy.

Vinci defeated the 18-year-old Swiss 6-4, 6-3 to win her first title since Palermo in 2013, taking her career tally to 10 titles.

The win propels Vinci to the No.13 ranking in the world, while Bencic also enjoyed a rise in the rankings, moving into the top 10 for the first time in her career.

Meanwhile, American veteran Venus Williams has won her 49th career title, defeating Japan's Misaki Doi to win the Taiwan Open.
