Serena Williams and Agnieszka Radwanska have both comfortably advanced to the semifinals of the Australian Open.

Williams beat Maria Sharapova 6-4, 6-1 in one hour and 31 minutes.

The world No.1 struggled to assert her authority in the first set, before brushing Sharapova aside in the second.

In the other quarterfinal on day day ten, Radwanska took care of Carla Suarez Navarro 6-1, 6-3 in just one hour and 21 minutes.

Williams and Radwanska will now meet in the semifinals on Thursday.
